Star Wars Summer 2021 Set Leaks!

Images of  LEGO Star Wars sets have been leaked in a Japanese product catalog! The August wave is looking to be pretty exciting. More after the break...

Six new Star Wars sets were accidentally leaked through a Japanese product catalog the other day;
  • 75307 Advent Calendar
  • 75310 Duel on Mandalore
  • 75311 Trexler Marauder
  • 75312 Slave I (Mandalorian Variant)
  • 75315 Moff Gideon's Light Cruiser
  • and 75316 Mandalorian Starfighter

The 75307 Advent Calendar is particularly interesting in that it is the first ever Star Wars advent calendar to be based off a single faction, The Mandalorian Disney+ show. It appears to feature six minifigs, two of which are exclusive:
  • Din Djarin (the Mandalorian) with festive scarf and Beskar armor
  • Santa Baby Yoda (yes, I know his real name is Grogu, but Baby Yoda sounds so much better)
  • IG-11
  • Scout Trooper
  • Stormtrooper
  • Tusken Raider
Most of the builds are unknown, but in the leaked image we can see a pram for Baby Yoda, an E-WEB blaster with target, a ballista for the Tusken, probe droid, TIE Fighter, and Moff Gideon's Cruiser.

Retail price is presumably 40 USD (US dollars).

75310 Duel on Mandalore is a continuation of TLG's (the LEGO Group's) ongoing series of $20 duel sets. In my opinion this is the best one to date, in particular because of the minifigures:
  • Ahsoka Tano, previously only available in the $40 AAT from last year
  • Darth Maul, an exclusive update on the previous Clone Wars variant
In the picture below we can see the set contains the Mandalorian Throne and the holding cell used to contain Maul in S7 E11 and 12.

Retail price is 20 USD.

Lets be honest here, the build for the 75311 Trexler Marauder is just downright ugly. That aside, the characters are pretty good looking:
  • Greef Karga, updated from the 2020 variant, this minfig compares favorably with the on-screen character
  • Mortar Trooper, a brand new stormtrooper variation, this figure is going to be why many people buy this set
  • 2x Stormtroopers, only one is shown in the leaked image, however it has been confirmed by various credible sources that there are indeed two
What can I say, the build is arguably bad while the figs are great.

Retail is 40 USD
(sorry for the bad image quality on this one, the pictures of the catalog were already low resolution, zooming in made it worse)

Alright lets make history with this next one. 75312 Slave I is the first non-Original Trilogy Slave I since 2002! TLG has finally listened to its fans and made a Mandalorian based model of Boba Fett's famous ship. The set comes with two figures and an amazing looking Slave I:
  • Boba Fett, Mandalorian version (YAY!)
  • Mando in his Beskar armor and wielding the staff from S2 E13 and E16
Awesome set, really looking forward to picking this one up.

Retail is 50 USD.

Okay, only two more sets to go. 75315 Moff Gideon's Light Cruiser is similar to the Marauder mentioned above in that it's a meh build with great minifigures:
  • Baby Yoda
  • Mando
  • Cara Dune
  • Fennec Shand, brand new fig for 2021 and exclusive (so far) to this set
  • Moff Gideon, new and exclusive
  • And the Dark Trooper, also new and exclusive, this character alone is going make this set sell like Hot Cakes
Not much to say on this one, I really hope it has an interior, but we'll have to wait and see.

Retail is 160 USD.

And last but certainly not least, the best set of the August wave, 75316 Mandalorian Starfighter. This model looks absolutely stunning, and with three brand new minifigs, this ones a no brainer:
  • Mandalorian Loyalist
  • Bo-Katan Kryze
  • Gar Saxon
I absolutely love the color scheme, all the different colors just mesh together perfectly, thanks to a ton wedge plates of course. Hope fully you'll be able to fit both Bo-Katan and the Loyalist in the cockpit, but regardless, this set is a definite day-one purchase for me.

Retail is 60 USD

All these sets will be available from LEGO starting August 1st.

Don't forget to comment down below which set(s) you're most excited for.
