Sailboat Adventure Revealed!

 The August store calendar for the USA has revealed that 40487 Sailboat Adventure will be a GWP (gift with purchase) from the 1st to the 29th of August when you spend greater than $200.

The model is based on the winner of last year's LEGO Ideas Build that holiday contest by yc_solo entitled Sailing Ship Adventure. As you will see after the break the finished model is very similar to his original submission.

It's a hefty threshold, but there will be plenty of new releases available at the start of the month so spending that much shouldn't be a problem!

Halloween Seasonal Sets Revealed

Two Halloween sets are due to be released on 1st August: 40497 Halloween Owl features the titular bird of prey and a couple of pumpkins on a rounded-corner 12x12 plinth to match 40462 and 40463 that were released earlier in the year. 40493 Spider & Haunted House contains two hanging ornaments, but unlike last year's 854049 Pumpkin & Bat Duo, it's packaged in a regular square box.   The back of the box image of the owl at LEGO.com has revealed a matching set for Christmas, 40498 Penguin:
